Part 2 – Clinical Placements & Rotations

Part 2 takes everything you learned in Part 1 and puts it into practice with real patients. Over 16 weeks, you will work at Heartscope clinics across Victoria — scanning patients with the same pathologies you are studying each week, under the guidance of senior cardiac sonographers. By the end of Part 2, you will have genuine clinical experience and be eligible to interview for Part 3. 

This program is designed for students who have successfully completed Part 1 of the 3-Part Echocardiography Program.

Introduction

  • Hands-on experience performing echocardiograms. 
  • Observe and assist with patient assessments and diagnostics. 
  • Develop expertise in interpreting and reporting echocardiographic findings. 
  • Setup, interpret, and report Holter monitors, ECGs, and blood pressure monitors.
  • Gain hands-on experience in practical patient care management. 
  • Observe and practice best care techniques alongside clinical supervisors
